cgi-bin directory protection

Did plesk 8 break the directory protection for the CGI-BIN directory?

I've been trying every combination of option available in the control panel and can't get it to work now. It was working fine before the update.

I've tried doing the entire cgi-bin, just subdirectories, checking and unchecking the cgi box in the preferences, deleting and removing both the directory and the users for it, and nothing seems to work.

I get the auth box in my browser, but it says I'm not authorized no matter what I do. Anyone else having this problem?
