chane length of ftp usernames?

hi,

i'm in the planning stages to switch my servers to plesk and stumbled over some annoying problems, for instance this one:

i usually name the ftp user for a domain as the second level part, ie domain.com's ftp user is called "domain". unfortunately, in plesk this doesn't work out with many of my domains because the length of the ftp user name in plesk is limited (appearently to 16 letters).

is there a way to change this?
