If the topic of WordPress website security is relevant to you, we would be grateful if you could share your experience and help us test the usability of this feature. Change hostname to FQDN

DotanC

New Pleskian
When setting up Plesk there were no websites being hosted on the server, so when prompted for 'hostname' I entered the server's hostname as per the 'hostname' bash command: 'someHost'. Now, when redirecting from http://1.2.3.4:8443 to https://1.2.3.4:8443 (i.e. from http to https) Plesk sends the user to http://someHost:8443 which, being not a FQDN, is not valid.

I have now configured the site someSite.com to be served by the server. How can I change the Plesk 'hostname' to the FQDN of the site hosted? I have found the database table 'misc', where param='FullHostName', however that is not the proper place.

# /usr/local/psa/bin/server_pref --update -hostname host.example.com
