• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Changing main ipv4 address and gateway

pos-sudo

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
20.04 - 22.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.44+
Hello,

We are planning to migrate a plesk virtual machine (ubuntu 20.04) to a new physical server with a different network. I was wondering if we change the netplan gateway and IPv4 address and run the reconfigurator.pl in order to change the primary IPV4 address from the plesk server will this be enough in order to host the plesk server on a new network? Second question is does the reconfigurator.pl also change all the existing DNS for the active subscriptions on the server?

Thanks in advanced!

Yes it will auto update everything if everything is done correctly. You can refer to this document to provide you with how to properly update the IP address:
