I am a 1&1 customer, and they are infamous for their hostname naming of dedicated servers (amongst other products) in the form of u12345678.onlinehome-server.com format. When I installed Plesk Billing, I had not yet changed the hostname in the regular Plesk settings to my.newhostname.net. I have since made this change, however, I cannot seem to find the settings or find any way to make the billing software stick with the new hostname. It seems stuck on the old hostname in every way, and therefore negates the SSL certificate with the new hostname and prompts the user with security warnings and causes all kinds of confusion and havoc for staff and clients.

I am running Parallels Plesk Panel 10.0.1 on CentOS 5.5. Any ideas on how to change the hostname for plesk billing?

I have found two articles that have helped, however there were still places that the old url crept in.
The first does most of the work:
    http://kb.odin.com/9296

With just the process defined by the link above you will have the old url show up thru the single sign on (SSO) relays if you have that installed and this article addresses this issue
    http://kb.odin.com/6030

I found that even with the above you will still see the old urls in your control panel where the modules are controlled by customer & business manager but your clients should not see the issue (at least was the case for me)

I have a super VPS provider, I've hosted with 1and1 before and although they were not terrible the level of service can't be beat that my current provider gives... Check them out at http://kickassvps.com
