Server: Windows Server 2008
Plesk Version: 8.6
We’re having trouble with ASP working on our server. PHP works but not ASP. After hours of research we have determined that classic ASP will run on our website if configured outside of Plesk 8.4. The 500 error we are getting on our test website was caused by a problem with both our anonymous internet user account for the site, and the application pool used by Plesk for the website. I was able to get the test site to work by creating a test user on the server, changing the "connect as" setting in IIS to the test user, and then changing the application pool for the site from the Plesk 2.0 Default one, to the built in Classic .NET pool. The test page then came up with no error.
We need instructions on how to add a Classic ASP site in Plesk 8.4. If you need access or have any questions simply let me know. Please help!
