Cloud Linux and Plesk

chemical

New Pleskian
Hi,

So at the moment I run a web host that uses cpanel with CloudLinux on a reseller system. I have become quite fond of Plesk and its features that may become useful to my clients and to myself.

So the question is? If I attach a Cloud Linux iso to a kvm machine, go through the setup, once I installed the OS and Plesk what do I need to do to make Plesk use the Cloud Linux features. I guess I don't need to worry about Multiple PHP version as it becomes default in Plesk. Will CageFS already be setup, do I need the MySQL Governor, or can I just use cagefs and LVE?

Thank you for reading.

Hi,

As far as I know CageFS and governor are not installed with CloudLinux minimal KVM image (if you took it from http://docs.cloudlinux.com/index.html?kvm_images.html ). So, after regular Plesk installation you will get working LVE limits etc. However for Cagefs and governor they have to be installed activated manually.

Nothing hard just follow: http://docs.cloudlinux.com/index.html?installation2.html and http://docs.cloudlinux.com/index.html?installation3.html

Both CageFS and Governor are not required. However CageFS is perfect isolation system for users, better to install it. You may safely skip governor at begining stage.
