Question CloudFlare and Flexible SSL

Desdoyer

New Pleskian
Hello!

I'm quite new to Plesk (less than a week playing with it) and I have discovered an issue that I can't fix regarding CloudFlare and their Flexible SSL feature. This feature allow users to access everything through https between them and CloudFlare but between CloudFlare and my server connection is made via http.

I installed CloudFlare ServerShield Extension but it wasn't working with the CloudFlare Flexible SSL feature. My $_SERVER variable didn't have the "HTTPS => on" key-value. IP addresses were correct. I was receiving the real IP addresses. The only thing that didn't work was the HTTPS thing.

So I uninstalled the extension and installed CloudFlare's mod_cloudflare directly from their website (downloaded the .deb and installed it using "dpkg -i"). Restarted the server and everything started working, real IP addresses and the HTTPS thing. Now, the $_SERVER variable contains the "HTTPS" => on key-value and my PHP framework is able to detect that the request was requested via https.

However, even though I don't have the CloudFlare ServerShield extension listed in "Extensions -> My Extensions" I do have it listed as installed in "Tools & Settings -> Updates and Upgrades -> Plesk Extensions -> CloudFlare ServerShield".

So after installing mod_cloudflare from CloudFlare's website everything was working. BUT, in "Tools & Settings -> System Updates" I always have an update saying:
Package libapache2-mod-cloudflare 2016.6.0-1 (now)
-> will be updated to ->
Update to 1:1.2.0.3-debian8.0.17031415 (Plesk 17.5.3 packages for jessie by Plesk)

And as soon as this update happens the HTTPS key disappear from my $_SERVER variable so my framework is unable to correctly detect if the request was made via HTTP or HTTPS.

I tried to lock the update but it's still happening. For example, last night Plesk auto-updated itself to the newer version and this package was updated too.

My question is, how could I have the Flexible SSL feature correctly working with your mod_cloudflare?

Note: I have Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 running in a Debian 8 system.

Thank you in advance!
