• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

I've heard of plesk before... today is my first experience with the interface and I'm considering telling the client, as this is a new project, to give me something with direct access. This product feels very bloated and in the way.

I setup my website...

website.com/ pulled up plesk's yada yada Your website has been created page.
The cf-test page required a username and password, I initially shrugged this off that cold fusion was not installed correctly, perhaps.

To test the website, I renamed index.html to xindex.html and created a new... fairly blank... index.html.

website.com/ and website.com/index.html popped a typical .htaccess username and password prompt box. Cancelling goes to a Forbidden page, fake user and password don't work, but my ftp username and password do, they do not, however, take me to an ftp site (to cler that up).

website.com/xindex.html goes straight to the page. no problem at all.

Please, help me out. I've browsed there everywhere, where read permissions may be set, I have set them.

most probably permissions are not setup properly. solutions:
allow UISR_MACHINENAME (internet guest account) to read the data
run Reconfigurator with 'check permissions'
ensure that anonymous access is allowed at all (vhost properties->Directory security->auth and acess control)
