• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Control panel not working

Hi there,

I kept having trouble with the control panel since updating to 8.2. Finlay this morning it greeted me with some Unknown php Error in line 0.

Rebooting the panel did not help.
So I downloaded and installed the updated files as suggested here

Now I don't get the php error anymore. When I try to open the panel in the browser it just keeps on loading and loading,... but now page shows up.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
Johannes

[edit]
I just noticed, our second server has the same problem. Since I did not update the files there, here is the error message I get when I try to open plesk:

Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown: Failed opening 'auth.php3' for inclusion (include_path='C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib;C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib\api-rpc;C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\javascripts;C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib\locale;C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\auto_prepend;C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\htdocs\domains\databases\phpMyAdmin;C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\htdocs\domains\databases\phpPgAdmin') in Unknown on line 0

In case someone else has the same problem.

I used Plesk Reconfigurator -> Repair Plesk installation:
and checked the following options:
- Plesk Server Accounts
- Plesk File Security
- Plesk Service
- Plesk Database

Seems to have solved the problem.
