• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Could not issue/renew Let`s Encrypt certificates MYNAME

Giorgos Kontopoulos

Basic Pleskian
I have setup numerous lets encrypt certificate and their external DNS TXT records to validate the certificates
the problems arise when it is time to renew those certificates

Some domains are renewed without problem but some are not renewed
when I try to renew manually it give me a different TXT record challenge which forces me to do a DNS change which sometimes I don't control and have to bother the client every 3 months which is annoying (actually VERY annoying)

what is the trick to have lets encrypt certificates update automatically without any problems when DNS records are external to PLESK

what are the recommended settings and what are the gotchas ( I can't seem to figure them out )
