• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
    If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

New Pleskian
Hi everyone,
I want to stop courier-imap from logging connection information into the mail.* logfiles
Despite DEBUG_LOGIN is set to 0 (default) everytime a user logs into pop3 the following is flooding the logs:

Sep 11 15:27:35 h2106588 pop3d-ssl: IMAP connect from @ [::ffff:x.x.x.x]digascii: x, response: x
Sep 11 15:27:35 h2106588 pop3d-ssl: LOGIN, [email protected], ip=[::ffff:x.x.x.x]
Sep 11 15:27:36 h2106588 pop3d-ssl: 1378906056.105456 LOGOUT, [email protected], ip=[::ffff:x.x.x.x], top=0, retr=0, time=1, rcvd=12, sent=39, maildir=/var/qmail/mailnames/test.bla/ted.tester/Maildir

How can i stop courier from annoying me with these entries :)

vServer with Plesk 11.09 / Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Thanks in advance

Chris

You may try to change default -facility of courierlogger(1) and than just drop the destination via syslog settings.

But I personally still wouldn't do that. grep -v should be able to save you from annoyance pretty well.
