  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

CPU usage up to 100% while executing auth.php3

HarryBleckert

Basic Pleskian
I am using panel version 10.3.1 on Ubuntu 10 linux.

I have a problem mit CPU usage. Up to 100% as shown by top is used this program:
/usr/bin/sw-engine-cgi -c /opt/psa/admin/conf/php.ini -d auto_prepend_file=auth.php3 -u psaadm

I found auth3.php located in /opt/psa/admin/auto_prepend/auth.php3.

This is a sample ps result:
ps axuw|grep sw-engine-cgi
psaadm 7516 1.0 0.7 239580 15140 ? Ss 03:44 0:00 /usr/bin/sw-engine-cgi -c /opt/psa/admin/conf/php.ini -d auto_prepend_file=auth.php3 -u psaadm
psaadm 7564 1.8 1.1 251708 23140 ? S 03:44 0:00 /usr/bin/sw-engine-cgi -c /opt/psa/admin/conf/php.ini -d auto_prepend_file=auth.php3 -u psaadm
psaadm 7565 9.2 2.5 262116 52748 ? S 03:44 0:01 /usr/bin/sw-engine-cgi -c /opt/psa/admin/conf/php.ini -d auto_prepend_file=auth.php3 -u psaadm
psaadm 7566 89.2 2.8 271612 58992 ? R 03:44 0:11 /usr/bin/sw-engine-cgi -c /opt/psa/admin/conf/php.ini -d auto_prepend_file=auth.php3 -u psaadm

And in /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log I found lots of these lines:
2011-08-14 04:04:39: (connections.c.299) SSL: 1 error:140940E5:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:ssl handshake failure
all children busy, launch additional (total 3, limit 30)

I do have a verified SSL cert from Startcom installed. Works fine with my test domain hivetec.net.

Only shop pages cause the problem. They open very slow, up to 1 minute.
They cause this program to get stuck and eat all the cpu power:
"/usr/bin/sw-engine-cgi -c /opt/psa/admin/conf/php.ini -d auto_prepend_file=auth.php3 -u psaadm"

Please see here:

Anybody else seeing the same problem?
Does Igor know the answer?

All shop pages via :8443/store/ open very slow, up to 1 minute.

ACTUAL RESULT
Please see here: https://hivetec.net:8443/store/
ps shows that the page requests cause this program to get stuck and eat all the cpu power:
"/usr/bin/sw-engine-cgi -c /opt/psa/admin/conf/php.ini -d auto_prepend_file=auth.php3 -u psaadm"

EXPECTED RESULT
open pages at reasonable speed and without using 100% CPU for a single page request!!!

Lucky me that I am only testing Plesk. Unlucky those who pay for Plesk, rely on it and be left alone with the bugs they encounter...

Please Plesk support, please infamous Igor:
