• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hello,

I want create a folder in the root folder.
For example :
mysite.com :
- anon_ftp
- cgi-bin
- error_docs
- httpdocs
- httpsdocs
- ...
- data

data is the folder I want to create with the right "All actions" allow.
But it's not possible in the "File Manager", I don't have the permission for create folder in the root. However, I am the big administrator of this plesk.

A response please.

Vincnet

I don't think you can create new folders at the root level from within plesk or ftp. You'll probably have to ssh into the server as root and do that.

Alex you're right :) It was made because of security purposes. Plesk users can create custom folders only within \httpdocs or \cgi-bin folders.
