  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Create A Server Admin Account

Hello Dan,

This is not the administrator account you're looking for ) What you've got here is an additional user based on the Administrator user role. They have a lot of permissions enabling them to manage the website in question, but none that let them change Plesk settings proper. You can give such an account, for example, to a subcontractor hired to work on your website. They will be able to change the website's settings and upload content, but not, say, lock you out of your Plesk installation. Read more about additional users in Plesk 12.0 (that's what you're running, correct?) here: http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/PP12/12.0/Doc/en-US/online/plesk-customer-guide/69329.htm#

If you want to have an extra administrator account with (nearly) all the privileges the principal one has, you need to create an additional administrator account. Read how to do it here: http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/PP12/12.0/Doc/en-US/online/plesk-administrator-guide/60327.htm#

Hope that helps!
