Hi all i am new to setting up cron jobs and am in need of some assistance.

I am trying to run this script in plesk :-

[email protected] * * * * * cd /var/www/vhosts/carp.bz/httpdocs/carpbook/periodic; /usr/bin/php -q cron.php‏

and i get this error in the emails :-

/bin/sh: anon_ftp: command not found
Could not open input file: cron.php

could anyone assist me in what i am doing wrong.

many thanks and kind regards

It sounds like the user permissions are set incorrectly on the cron file.

[email protected] * * * * * cd /var/www/vhosts/carp.bz/httpdocs/carpbook/periodic; /usr/bin/php -q cron.php‏

actually on second look you telling cron.php that the file is in the top directory.

* * * * * /usr/bin/php -q /var/www/vhosts/carp.bz/httpdocs/carpbook/periodic/cron.php;

this is how the cron should look and there is a setting in the control panel that allows you to decide where you want the cron sending emailed to. I believe my above example is correct, I'm not sure if the semi colon belongs though
