Basic Pleskian
Hi,

I keep receiving hourly an email titled : Cron <root@xxxxx> /usr/bin/kcarectl --auto-update

The IP xxxxxwas already used for trialing on 2017-04-18.

FYI i got a license for 1 year.

Tnx

kcarectl is part of the kerncare.com service. Please refer to their homepage to learn how to remove that service from your server.

Did you managed to fix your problem? Have the same issue with my system since I upgraded to Plesk Onyx 17.5.3

same problem with me. I did enable the kernel care service just to find that it does not work with vServer kernels.
I disabled it again in the plesk extensions but the service still sends notifications "Unknown Kernel (Ubuntu 4.4.0-042stab120.11)"

I found:
cat /etc/cron.d/kcare-cron
31 */4 * * * root /usr/bin/kcarectl --auto-update
It seems that disabling the extension does not properly clean up the cron job, so I deleted it manually

disabling, removing is no solution?
refering to the topic, i have exactly got same Error.
Using and paying for KernelCare since a half year. Its not an option to disable or remove something .....

Any Solutions guest? I've got this error (once until know) since 17.5. Before it remain silent and was running :)

Did you check /etc/cron.d/kcare-cron?
If you remove the entry with kcarectl --auto-update the message should go away.
If you do not want to delete the kcare-cron file, just make a subdir in /etc/cron.d and move it there.
Or edit the file and just comment the action line.

I have done yum update which has updated kernel and kernelcare. Right after that I receive such a mail.
How should it be resolved properly?

Finally i found out the Problem.
This accures if Reseller is banned / blocked while not paying Invoices.
Then your License automatically is on HOLD or something.
After mailing Kernelcare Support directly i got my License activated again.

So this is nothing about removing cron, removing that Service or what ever.
(in my Case....)

Hello everyone!

I got all 4 hours this message:

Bash:
Cron /usr/bin/kcarectl --auto-update --gradual-rollout=auto
[('SSL routines', 'SSL3_READ_BYTES', 'tlsv1 alert protocol version')]

I have deleted the kernelcare addon in Plesk,
but the message still appear every 4 hours.

I tried the command
Bash:
/usr/bin/kcarectl
and it didnt end with an exit code. (that means the file is still there)

What should I do now?
Only delete the "kcare-cron" from the cronjobs?
Or remove the "kcare-cron" cronjob and the files in "/usr/bin"?

I hope to find good ideas/sulutions and stay with best regards,
Goodfred
