Issue cURL error

In the last two weeks I have been getting the following errors

AWS HTTP error: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host - Unknown error (see libcurl - Error Codes)
AWS HTTP error: cURL error 52: Empty reply from server (see libcurl - Error Codes)

I use the Amazon S3 Backup Extension but it seems like lately I have been getting more and more error emails with failed backups. Can someone help me to understand how to resolve these errors. Thank You

Try to apply the solution from curl shows error on Plesk server: Could not resolve host: example.com: Name or service not known

No luck. I tried restarting the services outlined in the link as well as restarting the server outlined in some of the comments. Neither of these things worked. Any other ideas?

Try to add a record about this host and his IP address directly to /etc/hosts
