• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Custom DNS records

Alright, I've got a tricky problem that I haven't had any luck resolving. Running Plesk 8.3 on a Server 2003 box. I'm trying to add some additional records to the DNS settings for some of the domains, such as LOC record type. Problem is that the options for adding records is limited to what's available in the drop-down menu on the DNS settings page; the same applies to server-wide DNS template.

I have tried manually changing the .exe files located in Plesk/dns/var/, but that isn't the actual DNS configuration for the domains (I suppose it may be a sort of backup). I've not ventured into the SQL database to hunt these settings down and am hoping to avoid having to.

Is there a method to add custom DNS records to domains hosted with Plesk?
