For various reasons, we use the same URL for the webmail of all of our email customers, and not https://webmail.<customerdomain.com>/
Is it possible to change (or remove) the link in the Plesk control panel, labelled "webmail", which currently leads to https://webmail.<customerdomain.com>/ for each of our 1000+ domains on Plesk?

If you set the webmail option to "none" in mail settings of each domain the webmail link won't be shown in the mail accounts list, while users. will still be able to login to webmail on another domain.
