Database user name is invalid

NicoTe

New Pleskian
Hello,

I recently wanted to create a MySQL database for WordPress and could do so without any problems.
After that I tried to create a user for that database and it returned me this error:

"Error: Database user name is invalid."

I googled a little and found some problems that existed because of the length of the username, so I'm now
using an accountname with less than 12 characters to create a database user with less than 16 characters (including a prefix).

Still not working. Still the same error message.

Any suggestions?

The Parallels version is: 10.4.4 Update #57

Hello :),

Please disable the prefix in Home > Server Tools > Database Servers > Database hosting settings. Disabling the prefix will allow you to enter the full 16-characters for the username.

I found that solution somewhere on the forums after another hour or so of searching. Told the administrator to do that so I could use the MySQL-System and it worked!

But thank you anyway! Appreciate that I actually got an answer. Didn't think that I would get one since it's been a week ;)
