  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi,

I just want to remind that we have the Feature Deprecation Plan (Feature Deprecation Plan).

Currently, the most important thing for Plesk for Windows in the Plan is deprecating BIND DNS component by March 2024. If you use BIND DNS, it makes sense to plan migration to Microsoft DNS Server.

(BIND v9.16 is going to be EOLed in Jan 2024. BIND v9.18 will not support Windows; https://kb.isc.org/docs/supported-platforms)

P.S. Simple DNS Plus is not an option to migrate to because it was deprecated in Plesk for Windows since January 2023.

It's a shame you no longer support Simple DNS Plus.

The versatility of this DNS server with all its plugins is extraordinary. It has tools that help sys admins that no other has, whether on Linux or Windows.

Basically, Plesk will only support Microsoft DNS, which is extremely reductive and poor.
