• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Direct changes to /etc/postfix/main.cf - Will Plesk Override?

PaulMcKillop

New Pleskian
Hi,

We have had issues previously with the Outbound Anti-Spam plugin and have signed up with a 3rd party outbound spam filter provider. For this to work, we need to enter 5 settings in to main.cf to allow for a 'smarthost', to have Postfix send mail out via this 3rd party.

My issue is that if we edit the /etc/postfix/main.cf directly, we don't want Plesk to override these settings. We are currently running version 11.5.30 u42 of Plesk.

It is critical to us that we find a way to implement this service.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
PAUL.

Hello,

You can check it by adding changes into /etc/postfix/main.cf, and then call /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk. If, after that, your changes are present in main.cf, then Plesk will not override it.

Regards,
Michael.
