Issue Direct domainname to dedicated IP-address, without explicitly adding domainname in Plesk

romofoos

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Almalinux 9.4
Plesk version and microupdate number
Version 18.0.61 #6
I am in the process of migrating from centos to alma. I have one subscription (abcd.com), with a dedicated ip-address (1.2.3.4)
I have some domains, and even more subdomains, that are not explicitly added in Plesk, but in their DNS they point at 1.2.3.4

On the Centos server they 'land' in the httpdocs op abcd.com. On Alma i just get a '404 Error'

So i like every domain or subdomain that points to 1.2.3.4 to show the content of the abcd.com-httpdocs, no matter if they exist in Plesk
Where can i configure the desired behaviour?

The behavior you're looking for can be attained by configuring your subscription as the default site for the IP. Which can be done at Tools & Settings > IP Addresses, select the IP address from the list and select your subscription as the Default site.

Hi Kasper, thanks for that. Indeed in the meantime i found out that these settings were actually correct, and that also domainnames that are not explicitly added to PLESK end up in the httpdocs of the default site.

But....

domainnames that are added tot PLESK behave as expected, make a pass along .htaccess in httpdocs and execute programs they should

domainnames that are not added to PLESK also end up in the httpdocs but only will show 'index.html' in that directory. all other files invoke a 404-error, and .htaccess is ignored

Thanks again
Roger
