• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Issue DirectAdmin to Plesk Error Migrator

xemorytr

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64 Update #1
Herkese merhaba

Directadmin'den Plesk panele site taşıma işlemine başlıyorum fakat hata alıyorum.

Python kaynak sunucuya dağıtılamadı
Neden: 'Directadmin' (x.x) kaynak sunucusunda 'linux None x86_64' kaynak sunucu işletim sistemi desteklenmiyor
Bu kritik bir hatadır, geçiş durduruldu.

Important - Plesk Migrator extension / Buradaki süreç bir çözüm değildi.

Preparing migration

Failed to deploy Python on source server
Cause: Source server OS 'linux None x86_64' on the source server 'directadmin' (ipa) is not supported
That is a critical error, migration was stopped.

Thank you for the update, @xemorytr. Judging by your initial message your OS is from the Red Hat 8 family. However, as /etc/redhat-release / /etc/*-release are missing on the source server the Migrator is unable to determine the correct OS in order to install the required Python packages. All supported OSes could be confirmed in the following file on the destination Plesk server:

/usr/local/psa/admin/plib/modules/panel-migrator/backend/lib/python/parallels/plesk/source/custom/actions/deploy_migrator_python.py

If you can provide access to the source server what I can suggest is to open a ticket with our support team for further investigation. To sign-in to support and open a ticket go to https://support.plesk.com. If you got your license from a reseller, your reseller should provide support for you. If the reseller does not provide support, here is an alternative to get support directly from Plesk: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12388090147095-How-to-get-support-directly-from-Plesk

@youvm, if you are using AlmaLinux, please try applying the workaround described in the following article. If not, could you please confirm the exact OS of the source server?

The directadmin servers seem to be using the same operating system as above.

That's why the plesk migration doesn't work.

I think this indicates a problem with the plesk migration. @Bitpalast

Could you please confirm the DirectAdmin version, so we can attempt to reproduce the issue and further investigate if it is a possible bug?
