• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

DLL does not work when domain setup through Plesk

We have installed a DLL called "acecrypt.dll" from location D:/Program Files/DSX/AceEncrypt/. This DLL cannot be used by any domain setup through Plesk. We tried to use it through our domain xyz.com and did a second attempt by creating a new domain, admin.xyz.com, and it still didn't work.

When we created a New Web Site directly through RDC and IIS, the DLL works correctly.

Example:
http://147.0.0.100/test.asp = correct
http://admin.xyz.com/test.asp = bad

Our guess is that Plesk is not assigning the right permissions (default IIS anonymous user, guest user, etc.) when we create a domain through the control panel. But, when we created a site directly through IIS, the default permissions and anonymous user account allow the system to access the DLL.

Please advise and thank you in advance for your help.
