• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Hmm... I don't have a Debian 10 instance at the moment to test with but if you connect via ssh, are you able to manually start it? I think the command is:

Bash:
systemctl start named-chroot

At least that's what it is under CentOS 7. If I can find some time later and no one else answered I'll spin up a test instance to test.

Also, make sure you have a domain that has DNS enabled.

@deleon Could you please check if you find entries related with the keyword "named-checkconf" in your /var/log/messages file? Could you please post the results here?
# grep named-checkconf /var/log/messages

Failed to start named-chroot.service: Unit named-chroot.service not found.

My domain is jks88.top and has DNS enabled.

I don't find that keyword.

That is the case with CentOS 7, at least. I'll spin up a test instance to conduct the test if I can find some free time later and no one else responded.

Additionally, confirm that your domain has DNS enabled.
