• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

DNS Manager or Plesk 8?

Hi,

i have 1 webserver, running Plesk 7.5

another webserver is running Ensim. this 2nd server is also our own dns server

we're getting rid of the 2nd server, so the Plesk server needs to become our dns server as well

because i saw no option in Plesk to manage DNS, i thought DNS Manager by 4PSA was a good solution.

however, i cannot find how to connect it to the dns already filled by Plesk? only find options to import, but i think thats for remote servers only?
also, it seems Plesk 8 does have DNS managing options?

should i get rid of DNS Manager? upgrade to Plesk 8.0? (not too fond of .0 versions)

any help/suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Jarl

edit: i currently have DNS Manager and Plesk on the same server. i assumed DNS Manager would read the files Plesk created, but it does not.

Try HSPC 3.2 full dns managment and plesk intergration :)

A happy hspc owner !
