  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Dns Problems

New Pleskian
HI,
I migrated from my old server to my new server, both of them have Ubuntu and Plesk 11. My website work but I have same problem with email, in fact I can't use it because webmail.domain.com and imap.domain.com point to old server and I can't login to my email. I have check the DNS from Plesk and the configuration is ok. Which is the problem?

Kind Regards

You need to make sure that:

1. The DNS records for those respective A records are set correctly at your DNS host (if NOT plesk)
2. If the new server is your DNS host, then ensure that bind changes did take effect and can be restartable (Some times there could be errors that bind can't restart but only remembers old settings)
3. Ensure it's not a cache problem by trying to open the respective domains through a proxy site like http://eu.amnotseen.com/
4. You can run: dig webmail.domain.com @ns1.yourdns.com and ensure that it returns the new IP (otherwise, ensure you have set the new one if not ...)

HI,
thanks for your quilck reply. A Records are right plesk had set them for me and I checked them. I restarted the server. I tried to open the website with proxy site but unfortunally webmail.domain.com and imap.francescobattistini.com return the old IP.
When I try to send an email it return this message:
- These recipients of your message have been processed by the mail server:
[email protected]; Failed; 5.1.3 (bad destination mailbox address syntax)

Remote MTA mail.domain.com: SMTP diagnostic: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)
