  • Support for BIND DNS has been removed from Plesk for Windows due to security and maintenance risks.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

DNS Troubles

Have had a problem with one of my domains. I restored from a plesk backup which failed completly as the backup file wasn't complete. So this made a completly mucked up hosting. So i've deleted it in the console and have struct a problem. Because plesk hadn't managed to write all the DNS records when i restored the domain. It now can't remove them properly, and as soon as a try to create a new hosting for that domain on the server it says the dns record for that domain already exsist. I've removed all trace of the domain from /var/named/run-root/var/ but plesk seems to be referencing the info from somewhere else, and i have no idea where this is.

Remove the domain from plesk again. That may take care or your problem by itself..
But you can use phpmyadmin in your control panel.
Click Servers/Database servers/mysql/Databases
Click "DB WebAdmin" select database "psa"
then click the search tab.enter the domain.com and it should show all instances of domain.com in the database. If you have removed it, then there shouldn't be any. Remove the entries for domain.com and then you can add the domain back via the control panel.
