  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hey all,

New to Plesk - loving it so far. Having an issue with email I think - webmail isn't working, and from what I've read in the forums that's likely because of a DNS issue..
Which might make sense, on my domain space I have 2 a records for @ and www pointing to my server IP.
Is there supposed to be more? Or perhaps I am missing the mark here.

I have also tried to configure this email via my client, but it is not accepting the data.

Thank you,

I believe I may have resolved this, but I cannot edit/delete my post.. or I can't find out how. Either way, please delete for now.
(I believe there is an error at my domain host)

Hello, @TheMidnighter You should have DNS records (A or CNAME) for mail.example.com and webmail.example.com. Regarding the email client configuration, if the issue continues, please provide the configuration details you use (e.g. IMAP/SMTP hostname, ports, etc.) along with the error message you encounter.

I have marked the post as resolved now. If there are further issues, please do not hesitate to update the thread.
