  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hello,
I have a question regarding name server setups.

Instead of using enom's register name server feature, can I just use their name servers and create A records to point to ns1.domain.com ns2.domain.com?

Is this considered the wrong way to do this? I'd like to use enom domain features as well as point my domains using A records. You can only use the extra enom features when you're using their nameservers.

TIA,
poke

what's the point ? you won't be using n1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com

You'll be using ns1.name-services.com and 4 others that belong to enom to control your DNS

The point of using Enom's register name server is to point the domain to your Plesk servers for DNS queries.

So you need to decide if your going to use Enom or your own Plesk servers as the name servers.
