• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
  • Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.

My first installation went wrong, so here my question. Do i have to install mysql first before starting the installation of Plesk. I can't find anything about it here so just being sure before screwing another clean server.

Cheers

Yes, it is necessary to install MySQL server before Plesk, because this component is required for Plesk installation, otherwise Plesk cannot be installed.

If you use the automatica installer, Plesk will download and install the necessary packes that are missing before it installs its own components.

Also keep away from the mysql 5.0.54 (I think?) in the CentosPlus repo for Centos 4 -- the Plesk installer doesn't like it. Or didn't the last time I tried it. It might have been updated since then.
