Question Does running PHP 5 on Plesk Version 17.8.11 Update #50 have security risk?

Burak Özdemir

New Pleskian
I am running some sites on PHP 5.6 on Plesk Version 17.8.11 Update #50.

Does this situation brings security risks to the server itself (apart from its risks of the sites running PHP 5.6?

Thanks.

It depends on the type of attack. In some cases, there may be a complete failure of the web server.

Are there any known vanilla PHP 5.6.40 vulnerabilities out there?

I know that the official upstream support ended with Dec 31st, 2018.
