Domain alias change

Dear people,

When I change a domain alias to another main domain, will it take time to progress that action? As it takes time before a DNS change is in live effect?

This is the situation:
My domain kiwimedia.nl has an alias, easykiwi.nl.
Now, I made a new main domain in Plesk, stoet.nl. After that, I deleted easykiwi.nl as alias on kiwimedia.nl, and I added it on stoet.nl. But, helas, at the moment I still see my kiwimedia.nl website on easykiwi.nl!

Can anyone help me with this?

I believe apache has to restart first, and also if its cached you may see the old site until the cache expires or you clear it.
