  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Domain Alias - emails - 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected

Hello,

I have searched everywhere for the answer to this with no avail.

I am on a VPN with Godaddy, Plesk 9.5.2, Qmail

I have created a domain, and I have created an alias to that domain.

I have enabled mail services for the domain, and the aliased domain.

I have created an email on the primary domain.

When I send email to the email address with the aliased domains name, I receive the following bounce:

Action: failed
Status: 5.5.0
Diagnostic-Code: smtp;550 #5.1.0 Address rejected

My understanding is that if you have a domain (xxx.com) and you create a domain alias (aaa.com) and tell it to use mail services, then the mail sent to [email protected] would arrive at [email protected].

Thanks in advance!

The primary domain, and the alias are both listed in /var/qmail/control/rcpthosts and in /var/qmail/control/virtualdomains.
