Domain creation in Malayalam script fails

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

I cannot create DN in Malayalam script.

I tested the creation of DN in Malayalam in the following two environment configurations:

Web Server version	OS​	Email Server	Database
nginx 1.20.2	AlmaLinux 8.6 (Sky Tiger)	Postfix 3.5.14	MySQL 15.1 Distrib 10.3.32-MariaDB, for Linux (x86_64) using readline 5.1
Apache 2.4.54	Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)	Postfix 3.5.13	MySQL 15.1 Distrib 10.5.15-MariaDB, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using EditLine wrapper PostgreSQL 13.7

I mention that we performed the necessary steps so that the web server, DB and Email server support UTF-8.

I successfully created DNs in other native scripts: Arabic, Cyrillic – Bulgarian, Devanagari – Hindi, Greek, Hangul – Korean, Telugu, Thai, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Latin- French.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Log into Plesk and on the main menu click Websites & Domains.
2. In the Websites & Domains page, click the Add Domain button.
3. From the left-side editor, select Blank website.
4. In the Registered domain name field, enter a DN in Malayalam script.
5. Click Add Domain and check that the DN appears on the Websites & Domains page.

ACTUAL RESULT

Account creation fails. For a sec an error message appears on the left editor (cannot see the error), then the page https://<host>/smb/web/add-domain displays blank.

EXPECTED RESULT

The DN in Malayalam is successfully created and displays on the Websites & Domains page.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

I cannot create UTF-8 email accounts credentials.

I tested the creation of UTF-8 email accounts in the following two environment configurations:

I mention that we performed the necessary steps so that the web server, DB and Email server support UTF-8.

We have tested using a set of native scripts. These are the scripts / languages we tested: Arabic, Cyrillic – Bulgarian, Devanagari – Hindi, Greek, Hangul – Korean, Telugu, Thai, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Latin- French.

Extra note: We successfully created Domain Names in these scripts, stored and extracted data in the above native scripts and published websites in these scripts.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Log into Plesk and on the main menu click Mail.
2. In the Mail page > Email Addresses tab, click the Create Email Address button.
3. Fill in the Email address field in a native script and select the DN you created in that script.
4. Fill in the Password in the same native script and Confirm Password.
5. Click OK.

ACTUAL RESULT

Email account creation fails. The Email address and Password fields failed validation.

EXPECTED RESULT

UTF-8 Email account is successfully created and appears on the Mail page.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

I cannot create DB user accounts when using UTF-8 credentials.

I tested the creation of DB user accounts using UTF-8 credentials in the following two environment configurations:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Log into Plesk and on the main menu click Databases.
2. In the Databases page, click on the DB created automatically when you created the DN in native script.
3. On the right menu, click User Management.
4. On the Database Users page, click the Add Database User button.
5. Fill in the fields Database user name and Password in in native scripts, then Confirm Password.
6. From the Database field, select the DB in the respective native script.
7. Click OK.

ACTUAL RESULT

DB user account creation fails. The Database user name and Password fields fail validation.

EXPECTED RESULT

DB user account with UTF-8 credentials (both username and password) is successfully created.
