• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hello,

I just jumped ship and switched to Plesk. The particular problem I do not like is having to add on a domain(s) and having to give it a username and password for ftp access.
That is so inefficient in my view b/c i'm adding 15 domains
to one account and each one asks me for username/password
for a new ftp account. That's 15 usernames/passwords for each domain!!!

You should be able to make one ftp user to manage all of those domains. Any suggestions to getting red of ftp accounts for each domain? Or i assume you can't do that?

You can use sftp

You can use sftp with a non chrooted account.

It works pretty the same way as ftp does.

I hope that helps!
