ELO for FC1,2,3 and now?

Hi

we have 3 server installed with fc2 and plesk 8.0. and 8.0.1
Now plesk inform us, that ELO for FC1-3 is now 11/15/07. Each of these machines hosted ~2000 domains. So regarding to the ELO for these systems we search for the best solution to upgrade the FC2 to FC4 or FC5. Does anyone have experience in that issue?

Best regards

I would recommend that you do your migrations in parallel. IE, get another system, transfer the data to the new system and test it in advance of making any DNS changes. I would also add that FC4 is EOL, and FC5 ending in June.

You might want to look into migrating to a distribution with a longer lifecycle, like CentOS. CentOS 4 is supported by Plesk and will not be EOL until 2012 or so (although SWsoft might EOL Plesk on CentOS 4 earlier). CentOS 5 is out, but not yet supported by Plesk.

Going with Fedora means you'll have to upgrade your systems every year or so.
