Email Archive

New Pleskian
hi,

Does anyone know if the current Plesk 9.2.1 does support Email Archiving. Thus that all incoming/outgoing mail for a certain domain is copied automatically to a different inbox within that domain.

We know how to do this in Ensim and Sendmail/MailScanner. But with Plesk so far have not been able to do so.

Do let me know if you are able to do or to assist us with this.

thanks, Patrick

Hello Patrick,

It looks like the Parallels Plesk Panel (PP) does not have such functionality. As a workaround it is possible to perform the backup of Mail configuration and content only to the separate archive:

Domain > domain.tld > Backup Manager > Back up

hi Nataliya,

Doing a backup using the Backup Manager and 'email archiving' are two different things. The email archiving is done right at the moment a mail is sent or received. It will like sent that particular email to a different inbox, of which the sender/receiver will not know its existence. Thus making a copy of it. So that it can be used for backup purposes, but also to check what the staff might be doing.

So it is a different feature. Will be that be implemented. As it can be done via Ensim (sendmail/MailScanner) why not include it inside Plesk?

thanks, Patrick
