• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Email filtering

Hello,

I am trying to use email filters to prevent receiving junk email when I download my email using Outlook. I set up a filter with one of my mailboxes to delete all incoming mail that does not have a specific subject line. I chose the option to run this filter during Login. It works great when I log into the Plesk control panel (i.e. When I send a junk email to that box with the wrong subject line and then log into that mailbox, I get a nice message telling me that an email was automatically deleted - so far - so good).

However, when I use MS Outlook to download my emails from the server -the filter is not applied and I still receive the junk email in my Outlook inbox.

Is there anything I can do to have the filter act on ALL email as soon as it arrives at the server? I would like it to be deleted before I even try to download my email from the server using MS Outlook.

Thanks for any help,
Dave Meindl
