  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Email headers

New Pleskian
Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how the host names in my e-mail headers change per connectio.

For example,

Received: (qmail 6980 invoked from network); 15 Nov 2008 12:26:20 -0800
Received: from thebakersmusic.com (HELO LatitudeD830.ablecc.net) (76.178.187.228)
by thebakersmusic.com with (DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA encrypted) SMTP; 15 Nov 2008 12:25:09 -0800

The headers above are not modified. I have SMTP authentication setup, and this user connects to mail.ablecc.net.

1) How does the host LatitudeD830.ablecc.net come to be? I have no DNS record of that.
2) the second line states it was received from and by the same domain? I would think this would be mail.ablecc.net?

Thank you,

Abel Jeffcoat
