• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Email password changed but only old one works

I've got a client who created hundreds of email addresses for various domains, and when he goes in to change email passwords, they don't change.

This isn't the 'no dictionary words allowed etc' error.. the passwords are accepted and do appear to change. In the PSA database, the new password appears and IS associated with the correct account id.

When the user goes to Squirrelmail, however, only their old password works.

I've gone in to change passwords myself (since I have full permissions in Plesk), I've edited the actual record in the PSA database.. (got the account id from 'mail' table, then changed the password in 'accounts' table).. rebooted the server afterwards, even.. no dice.

Any ideas? Thank you!

I have a similar problem but the new password works and the old one too ???
No one seems to have a solution?

I am on my way to change the machine and get a new onea nd add 2 other. Am I going to enconter the same bug and bugs if I decide to use Plesk 8 ?
