Question Error in the panel when selecting a webmailer

m.angenendt

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.72
When I want to change the webmailer for a customer, I get the message ‘This option is not supported.’ / 'Diese Option wird nicht unterstützt.'
Regardless of whether I want to use Roundcube, SoGo or a predefined webmailer, the email settings can only be saved if I select ‘None’.

Unfortunately, a plesk repair DB or repair mail domain does not help.

I have checked the packages and definitions but could not find any settings that cause this.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Regards, Michael

Yes it is enabled.

After a long search and various tests to reproduce this on other domains/servers, I have now found what is causing the problem, but in my opinion it is a bug.

The customer had forwarded webmail.domain.tld to the webmailer URL we provided.

Plesk then said that there is a webmail.domain.tld and that you cannot select a webmailer, which is fine if you want to put webmail.doman.tld on your own application, but not if it is a different URL that is to be given to the customer as a webmailer. This is so that they have the link there behind the email address, for example.

If they add the subdomain webmail manually and make a forward, then it's not a bug that you cannot set up webmail there, since Plesk cannot add a web configuration if it already does exist for something else. But also depends on how they did set up that forwarding.
