  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Error: IP pool is empty

Hi,
I have setup a new instance of Plesk Panel on Ubuntu 10.04. Now I am having the issue, that I can not add a customer (when logged in as admin). I am filling out every details in the form (including a subscription). After submitting, I am getting "Error: IP pool is empty"

The IP on the server is shared and available. When setting up just a subscription it works.
It worked initially. I think it stopped working, after I had set up a reseller. Deleting Reseller did not help

I do not want to reinstall it again, so any help appreciated

Hi AndreasWilkens,

I too have a similar issue. My problem is described in more detail (that I sent to Parallels over Twitter) here: http://jackwebbheller.com/uploads/parallels (txt document). The only difference I can find with my issue and yours is that your IP is 'shared and available'. Mine is set as Exclusive and as such I cannot change it.

Their response was:

Hey Jack,
This issue is corrected in our 10.1 release, which is RTM'd right now, and will be released to the general public later this month.

In the mean time, I got this answer from support:

"
IF the customer is not using VPS Optimized mode, the following might work:

- Add a phony IP address as a shared IP
- Assign all existing subscriptions to the new phony IP
- Change real IP to shared
- Assign all existing subscriptions back to the real IP
- Remove phony IP address

But, if it is running in VPS Optimized mode, this will probably not work because Plesk does not allow IP add/remove (because this would normally be done in the PVC administration)."

Hope that helps.

Jack

can you set display_errors = on in php config and get full error?

i guess you are using static ip in the dns template. if yes, so you should change it back to <ip> or wait patch..

Tried this method and all it did was abort my current session and lock me out of the admin screen as soon as I created the new shared IP. I still cannot get to the server remotely, only directly from the host machine. I think it buggered up my certificate assignments but am not sure as that portion of the config was handled by an external consultant.

All I'm saying is BE CAREFUL with this solution, it may have worked for Jack, but for me it has created more problems than I started with.
