• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Issue ERROR: ub /opt/psa/admin/plib/Service/Driver/Web/Server/Apache.php in Line 148

Andreas Kempe

New Pleskian
Hello,

I have had the problem for a few weeks that none of my websites can be reached. I have now given up the problem myself and hope for help here in the forum. I've tried a lot, but in summary this excerpt from the log is probably the most helpful:

Details: [2021-05-01 08: 11: 40.629] ERR [util_exec] proc_close () failed ['/ opt / psa / admin / bin / apache_control_adapter' '--restart' '--restart-interval' '0' '--http-port' '7080' '--https-port' '7081'] with exit code [255]

Can not restart web server:

Warning: web server configuration is broken. We will try to repair it. This operation can take a lot of time, please do not interrupt the process.
Unable to rebuild web server configuration, possible there are broken domains
Trying to reconfigure web-server configurations skipping broken domains ... Execution failed.

So far, the pages have all run without problems and suddenly not a single one works anymore. I had deleted some with special characters in the domain name to avoid these common problems, but that didn't help.

I hope one of you can help me.

many greetings and thank you very much
andreas

Ps .: if information is missing, please ask. I'm just wondering what would be most helpful.

here is the full log:

helpful is maybe also:

Anyway, for the repair messages: The "Cannot find deb-archive" sounds like this is an old Debian operating system that is no longer supported?

For the web server issue: Try to start the web server on your command line and see what it logs (why it cannot start). It normally explains the reason in detail either directly in the
# service apache2 start
or in /var/log/messages
or in /var/log/apache2/error_log (or similar location, depends on your os).

Hi Peter, thx for your reply. Im little bit confused about pastebin because it is set to public exposure.

if i restart the apache manually i got nothing rly helpful, the service start outputs nothing and in the logs also no error, warning or critical. i can adjust the apache config files for my websites manually via console but the plesk rewrite it then and the server dont restart again then.

apachectl -t:
Syntax OK

service apache2 status gives me:

O.k., so we know that the configuration files are not causing the problem.

Please check
/var/log/apache2/error.log
for suspicious error entries, for example "Configuration Failed" or "Name or service not known" or similar awkward things.

the error.log are full with every the same lines:

not more. the certificates cant renewed because the domains are not accessible and so the service failes to renew.

if pasted the full log on other service now:

because i think this is more helpful for you ;)

rly many thx for your time!

No problems there. All entries can be ignored (for now).

Have you recently attempted a Plesk update? What is your operating system version?

i have this trouble after the last plesk update. my plesk version is:

Plesk Obsidian Web Host Edition
Version 18.0.34 Update #2

on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS / 64 bit

Ubuntu 16 support has been dropped in a recent Plesk update. The currently supported operating system versions can be found here:

You need to migrate your content to a server with a newer operating system.

hmm ok then i should do a backup of all my files. is there a possibility to backup all data in plesk? to prevent create all email user and so one manually after the OS upgrade? i dont expect there are no problems after this because in the most cases a simple dist upgrade failes completely on ubuntu. so i have to install a clear os.

Yes, you can backup everything (inside Plesk) with the backup manager in Tools & Settings, then restore it to a different, newer system later.

y i found this already and started the process to backup all files. are there all in? all email accounts, all websites and databases and so one?

i dont trust tools like this. i archive all my files manually now and download it. then i reinstall my server and try to use the backup that i created. if this not work, i have the archives also ;)

many thx for your time and your help peter. i hoped i can prevent this effort but a newer system is also not the wrongest part today.

enjoy your weekend and many thanks again.
