• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

We have a shared SSL certificate set up on our Plesk installation, and have successfully been able to link a couple of sites into it. All of a sudden however, if we browse to a domain and activate Shared SSL, we receive this error:

Error: Update Shared SSL link on Web server failed: websrvmng failed: Empty error message from utility.

If I look in IIS, it succesfully creates the virtual directory. Looking at the Event Log the following Application Error is generated:

Faulting application websrvmng.exe, version 9.300.0.0, time stamp 0x4b3014a2, faulting module websrvmng.exe, version 9.300.0.0, time stamp 0x4b3014a2, exception code 0xc0000409, fault offset 0x001a926b, process id 0x2970, application start time 0x01cb7a462f3d7144.

Any suggestions on where to start looking to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
