Event Manager Examples

Does anyone have any example scripts that I could look at for use in the Event Manager? I'm a programmer on a Windows, but have little experience in Linux. I'd like to automate some tasks in Plesk when certain things are done. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe I could return the favor.
