• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Executing command upon receiving email

Hello, all -

I'm trying to make an application in which qmail receives a message, and executes a command via pipe.

Not being familiar with qmail at all (mostly sendmail and Postfix), I do not know where to begin. On top of that, I am deathly afraid of messing with anything too much, because if I do, Plesk will surely freak out.

So what I am asking is, how might I establish a setup for a single email address that executes said command upon recieving mail? I am not entirely familiar with the qmail setup wth Plesk, so I am not even going to attempt this just yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
