Forwarded to devs Fail2ban: how to get Plesk default jails & filters after re-install?

MSZ

New Pleskian
I have re-installed Fail2Ban:
  1. plesk installer --select-release-current --remove-component fail2ban
(I also cleared the sqlite and other files)
  2. plesk installer --select-release-current --install-component fail2ban
However, the standard Plesk jails and filters were not installed.

Is there a way to get these automatically or do I have to add all new manually?

Thanks in advance!

Are you still having this issue or have you been able to solve it in the meantime?

Thanks to your post we have been able to identify this as a product issue. Which will ben fixed in a future Plesk update and can be tracked with ID PPPM-14406 in the Change Log. Thank you for letting us know!

Let me know if you need help with solving this fail2ban issue.

Same issue here too. Removing (after some issues) and re-installing fail2ban i get only two preconfigured jails, ssh and recidive.

@NickSick please contact Plesk support for investigation of the issue on your server. You can mention bug PPPM-14406 as a reference, although I can't say for sure that you issue is related (it needs to be investigated).

If you bought your license from a reseller, your reseller should provide support for you. If the reseller does not provide support, here is an alternative:

Hi, same problem,

would be glad to get just the print of /etc/fail2ban/jail.d/plesk.conf and the /etc/fail2ban/filter.d/*
Then we can recreate the default values. Zip file would be okay too.

Maybe some of you can provide this, would be very thankfull.

David
